From his hole the white rabbit emerges so I serve his tea and cake. He says "Oh, no!" and bids me so long upon seeing the time of day. "Oh my worried stars," he hurries as he scurries away. And the time keeps right on plodding along when I hear that rabbit say: "Happiness is funny, money is the way, oh I've got to be on time to the cabaret. Got to make my pennies and my dimes today, so there is no time to play." From the floor, the mad hatter's a banker astute in the ways of the trade. He says "Oh, yes, on my pile of money I'll make myself happy one day." As the pile keeps on bloating, he just keeps hurting away. By the time he's ready to pay to be happy, the time has floated away. Happiness is funny, money is the way, oh I've got to be on time to the cabaret. Got to make my pennies and my dimes today, so there is no time to play.

When men kiss her (butterfly) she needs them to be free, and so she whispers, "Come to my place...." When then barefoot she poured the wine. With wishing rife and fishing knife, she carefully sliced off his face. Now fleur-de-lis led from her cell, she's singing Maurice Ravel. Her peers demanded an injection fearing fates like a fairy tale. It's that moment in the day, oh Delilah my pretty, I'm afraid it's upon you now. Don't stay awake, say goodbye to the sun and someday you'll wake up singing jeux d'eau. "Skin upon my knife," she ties him tighter with a squeeze, his lidless eyes upon her singing of his pain. Then with the blade inside his mouth he shouts out, "Please, please -- spare the life of me." "And I ended his pain." Now on the sinner's bed she lies. Two tears fall gently from her eyes. The executioner has signaled for the doctor to comply. He plunges fate inside her veins and to the marigolds she cries out: "Ah ah," four of the seasons have arrived. "Ah ah," four of the seasons have arrived. It's that moment in the day, oh Delilah my pretty, I'm afraid it's upon you now. Don't stay awake. Say goodbye to the sun, and someday you'll wake up singing jeux d'eau.
